Morpho supplies Hungary’s first MasterCard PayPass credit card

Morpho (Safran group) is the supplier of the first Hungarian MasterCard PayPass credit card, based on touch-and-go technology, launched by the Magyar Cetelem Bank in October 2011. Morpho will be in charge of production of the EMV* dual interface cards, personalization and card management services. 

EMV Pro CL cards from Morpho will enable Hungarian customers of Magyar Cetelem Bank to experience the benefits of both contact and contactless payment using the MasterCard® PayPass™ technology for its premium credit cards. The contactless payment system enables instant, safe purchases. A purchase is accepted in a few seconds by tapping the card on the terminal, with no signature nor PIN required.

Morpho is cooperating with its local Hungarian partner, Pénzjegynyomda Zrt., to meet the increasing demands of Hungarian financial institutions to deploy the best innovative, secure and convenient technology with the proximity and flexibility of local services.
