SXSW Interactive helped Mozido and SecureNet ‘Tip for a Cause’

sxsw InteractiveTaking advantage of this years SXSW Interactive, Mozido and SecureNet™ teamed up to offer enhanced payment options in Mozido’s white-labeled mobile apps for clients. SecureNet, which allows merchants to accept payments in-store, online and via mobile devices, powered the payment processing through Mozido-built mobile apps.

“Mozido has experienced tremendous demand for payment choices in our mobile solutions, and the SecureNet platform allows us to offer more choices such as pre-paid, credit, and debit cards on all popular networks,” said Scott Sandlin, President of Mozido. “SecureNet’s flexibility, along with the ability to provide analytics on payment usage made them an easy choice for us.”

To launch the partnership, Mozido and SecureNet co-sponsored a “Tip for a Cause” happy hour at SXSW Interactive. The event, held over two days at BeaconFire’s Beacon Lounge with a Conscience, allowed attendees to tip servers with “virtual cash” using the P2P Proximity Payment mobile app by Mozido. All money was donated by Mozido and SecureNet to Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which provides financial assistance to career musicians struggling to make ends meet while facing illness, disability or age-related problems.

“Both SecureNet and Mozido are committed to building solutions for clients that optimize payments to their business,” said Brent Warrington, CEO of SecureNet. “This partnership will allow us to take the best in mobile payments and marry it with white-labeled mobile apps to better fit merchants’ needs.”

“In addition to being the ‘live music capital of the world,’ Austin has grown into a major technology and mobile payments center,” said Sandlin. “SXSW Interactive provided a great venue where innovative companies like Mozido and SecureNet can come together and showcase joint solutions that benefit each other, while growing the mobile payments market, locally and around the globe.”
