OSPT Alliance consolidates global reach with further membership growth

OSPT_ReleaseOSPT Alliance, the international association that provides an open standard for secure transit fare collection solutions, has welcomed five new members over the past six months as its CIPURSE open standard continues to gain traction.

Currently, there are 65 organizations which contribute to OSPT Alliance as Full and Associate Members, and an additional 950 companies which have downloaded the CIPURSE specification as Evaluators to assess CIPURSE’s suitability to their products and solutions.

The members that have joined OPST Alliance in 2016 are as follows:

Full Members

  • Udobny Marshut (Russia)
  • Arjo Systems (France/Hong Kong/Italy)

Associate Members

  • Sequent (USA)
  • FEIG Electronic (Germany)
  • Americaneagle.com (USA)

“OSPT Alliance continues to welcome a growing number of new members from all over the world, reflecting increasing global levels of interest in the benefits of open standards in ticketing and beyond,” says Laurent Cremer, Executive Director, OSPT Alliance. “OSPT Alliance was initially created to help the transit community move toward an interoperable and vendor-neutral ecosystem that will foster the next generation of secure, cost-effective and flexible fare collection solutions. While transport continues to be a primary focus of the alliance, we have evolved from ‘just transport’ to driving the adoption of its CIPURSE open standard for a number of value added services such as ID, access control, loyalty and more”, he added.

Full membership benefits include the ability to influence technical standardization and strategic activity within OSPT Alliance, early stage market intelligence, market influence and profile and enhanced networking and collaboration opportunities.
